At Char Bar Catering and The Chip Shop, we’re passionate about giving back to the community, and one way we do that is through local sport.

As a jersey sponsor, since 2022, we’ve been excited to see the teams represent our community on the field. We also recognise dedication and effort by providing weekly vouchers for the Coaches’ Award winners throughout the footy season, rewarding players who go the extra mile.

We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. Our owner and leader, Stefan Hostettler, a dedicated father of four with a busy schedule, still prioritises volunteering to support those in need.

We proudly partner with Make a Difference (MAD) Port Macquarie,by providing free weekly meals at Marine Rescue Port Macquarie. This relationship started in February 2024 and will continue. Giving back isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are.
From supporting local sports teams to helping those in need, we’re committed to positively impacting our community.

Supporting Charities Kyampi Childcare Ministries

One charity we are deeply passionate about is Kyampisi Childcare Ministries, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda. We started sponsoring a child in Uganda in 2019, and we continue to support this charity with monthly donations.

We believe in supporting causes that make a meaningful impact, and Kyampisi’s work in providing education, healthcare, and safe housing to children in need resonates deeply with our values.

Supporting Cystic Fibrosis Australia:

One charity especially close to our hearts is Cystic Fibrosis Australia, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals living with cystic fibrosis (CF).

Our warrior, Camille, is living with CF, and her strength inspires us every day. Cystic Fibrosis Australia works tirelessly to enhance treatment options, provide support, and fund vital research to find a cure.

We’re proud to contribute to their mission by regular donations from The Chip Shop and Char Bar Catering and raising awareness, knowing that every step brings us closer to better treatments and a brighter future for all those affected by CF.
